Do What Ignites Your Soul

May 14, 2018

Calling all Mommas! Do what ignites your soul. Being creative and allowing my artistic voice to shine makes me a better mom. For a few minutes a day, the world revolves around me and my making.  My children have learned to respect this time (even if it's only ten minutes) and understand that it's a part of my day like doing laundry or making dinner.

Our worlds are so easily consumed by motherhood. We are baby making superwomen and are expected to excel in every aspect of our lives. We juggle and strive for “balance.” In our quest for getting it all done (rearing children, advancing career, doing laundry, making dinner, carpooling etc), we often drop the most important ball… the one that pertains to us.

We need to be bold and dare I say it… be selfish! We are entitled to do the things that we are passionate about. Go find your thing and get it, do it, make it! You owe it to your soul.
