As a certified K12 Art Educator with 20 years of experience in the classroom, I truly enjoy sharing my expertise with others. I see value in encouraging others to find their voice and create art. I am the Lead Teacher for Creative and Professional Studies at Parsippany Hills High School and take pride in our excellent art program. In addition to teaching Ceramics, I developed the curriculum and teach both AP Art and Design and AP Art History. Exposing others to art history brings me great joy and can be such a catalyst for young artists. In AP Art and Design, I am proud to be teaching young artists how to curate and defend their own body of work. Their creativity and diverse perspectives are sources of constant inspiration for my own work.

This school year, Ashley Talerico was accepted into the prestigious Fresh Perspectives show at Morris Museum in Morristown, NJ.

I believe it is important to surround oneself with as much art as possible and take my students to see artwork as often as I can. Recent high school field trips include The Met, MoMA, and The Brooklyn Museum.
